Hsinchu Duiyan Temple Introduction
Shui Xian Zun Wang, also known as one of the sea gods in China, is worshipped in various places, including figures such as Da Yu, Xiang Yu, Qu Yuan, Wu Zixu, Li Bai, and Wang Bo. The main deity of Shui Xian Temple is Shui Xian Zun Wang, primarily worshipped as Da Yu. Originally enshrined in the back hall of Changhe Temple, it was later decided to build Shui Xian Temple on the left side of Changhe Temple in 1863 due to the increasing population in the North Gate area. The 10th day of the 10th lunar month is celebrated as the birthday of Shui Xian Zun Wang and is the most important festival at Shui Xian Temple.
