The Hsinchu Credit Union, restructured in 1913, is regarded as the earliest credit union in Taiwan. In 1934, a new two-story building with horizontal lines of R.C. architecture was constructed, showcasing elegance and refinement. After the war, it was renamed the "Hsinchu First Credit Cooperative" and is one of the important financial institutions in Hsinchu City.
