Established in 1913, the Hsinchu Credit Cooperative was the first credit cooperative in Taiwan. In 1934, a new two-story R.C. building with modern horizontal lines was constructed, elegant and exquisite. After the war, it was renamed "Hsinchu First Credit Cooperative" and became one of the important financial institutions in Hsinchu City.
