Established in 1913, the Hsinchu Credit Cooperative was the first credit cooperative in Taiwan. In 1934, a new two-story R.C. building with horizontal lines was constructed, elegant and refined. After the war, it was renamed "Hsinchu First Credit Cooperative" and has since become one of the important financial institutions in Hsinchu City.
