The Hsinchu Credit Cooperative, which was first reorganized in 1913, is considered the earliest credit cooperative in Taiwan. In 1934, a new two-story building with horizontal lines made of reinforced concrete was constructed, featuring elegant and refined design. After the war, it was renamed "Hsinchu No. 1 Credit Cooperative" and remains one of the important financial institutions in Hsinchu City.
