The Hsinchu Credit Union, established in 1913, is considered the earliest credit union in Taiwan. In 1934, a new two-story R.C. building featuring horizontal lines was constructed, showcasing elegance and sophistication. After the war, it was renamed "Hsinchu First Credit Cooperative" and has become one of the important financial institutions in Hsinchu City.
