Hsinchu Shrine Ruins (Mainland People's Processing Center) Introduction
The second-generation Hsinchu Shrine, completed in 1918, was designed by Seigo Teshima. He incorporated features from various shrines and used a unique design of torii gates and corridors to block the north wind, connecting the different spaces with corridors to prevent the influence of wind and rain during festivals. The current site is a processing center for mainland residents and is not open for public visits.
