Long'en Canal Introduction

Long'en Canal in Hsinchu City is one of the three ancient canals in Taiwan, with a history of 300 years since its establishment by the ancestors led by Wang Shijie who settled Zhuzhihu in 1718. In May 2018, the "Long'en Canal Landscape Space" was officially completed. The Hsinchu City Government utilized the ancient canal waterway and the old tree clusters along the banks to create elevated green spaces, dense forests, and playgrounds in segments, connecting Central Park, Sanmin Park, and Sanmin Junior High School in a north-south direction, becoming a 770-meter-long urban green corridor.
