Banciao Houshan Shopping District (Fuzhong Shopping District) Introduction
The Fuzhong Shopping District, located at the old Banqiao Train Station, encompasses sections of Zhongshan Road Section 1, Sichuan Road, and Guanqian East-West Roads, as well as Chongqing Road and National Day Road. Historically, it was the most bustling area in Banqiao. In recent years, it has been integrated with the vicinity around the new Banqiao Station, evolving into a uniquely attractive urban complex shopping district known as the New Ban District, successfully creating a vibrant area in New Taipei City's Xinyi District. Fuzhong Shopping District blends high-end fashion, popular culture, and diverse cuisine, making it the only shopping district in New Taipei City that connects with modernity, trendiness, and the youth demographic. Additionally, its proximity to the Banqiao Station, which serves three modes of transportation, links surrounding malls and dining options and combines the characteristics of both old and new shopping areas, creating a leisure shopping environment suitable for all ages. Since 2011, the Fuzhong Shopping District has hosted the largest Halloween costume party in Taiwan, attracting many visitors from afar. In addition to various competitive activities, the event features band performances, obstacle games, and fosters a lively Halloween atmosphere throughout the shopping street.
