Banqiao Hou Station Shopping District (Fuzhong Shopping District) Introduction
The Fuchung Shopping District, located near the old Banqiao Railway Station, encompasses sections of Zhongshan Road, Sichuan Road, Guanqian East and West Roads, Chongqing Road, and Guoqing Road. In the past, it was the liveliest area in Banqiao. In recent years, it has been integrated with the area around the new Banqiao Station, evolving into a unique and vibrant urban complex known as the New Banqiao Special District, successfully establishing itself as part of the Xinyi District of New Taipei City. The Fuchung Shopping District combines boutique fashion, pop culture, and diverse cuisine, making it the only commercial area in New Taipei City that connects with modern, trendy, and youthful demographics. Its proximity to the integrated Banqiao Station, which connects three rail systems, links surrounding malls and food options, merging the distinct characteristics of both old and new shopping districts to create a leisure shopping environment suitable for all ages. Since 2011, the Fuchung Shopping District has hosted the largest Halloween costume party in Taiwan, attracting many visitors from outside the region to participate. In addition to various competitions, the event features live band performances, interactive games, and more, creating a lively Halloween atmosphere throughout the shopping street.
