Deer Horn Creek Park Introduction
Lujiao Creek Park is the third age-friendly park in New Taipei City, covering an area of 7,022 square meters. To achieve the goals of an age-friendly park, the park was developed in four phases. Since 2012, the first phase of the neighborhood leisure area, the second phase of the children's playground, and the third phase of the elderly fitness area have been completed, providing a variety of facilities to meet the recreational needs of local residents. Currently, it is positioned as a dynamic themed park under the motto "Passionate Beliefs, Infinite Youth," offering a well-equipped basketball court, making it an excellent venue for basketball enthusiasts of all ages. Lujiao Creek Park is just a 5-minute walk from Shanjia Railway Station. Previously, the area was filled with metal factories, but now, after the completion of the park, visitors can enjoy the picturesque surroundings along the banks of Lujiao Creek, complemented by the nearby Shanzijiao Park. The environment is now much more pleasant and comfortable, catering to the leisure needs of people of all ages. This elongated park, covering nearly 1,000 ping, features lush weeping willows and a wooden boardwalk that connects to Shanjia Railway Station and the Hakka Cultural Center. The local district office will further purify Lujiao Creek to ensure that the water next to the park is clearer and suitable for fish and shrimp to inhabit.
