Deer Horn Creek Park Introduction
Lujiao Creek Park is the third age-friendly park in New Taipei City, covering an area of 7,022 square meters. To achieve the goal of an age-friendly park, the park has been constructed in four phases, with the first phase, neighborhood leisure area, completed in 2012, followed by the second phase, children's playground, and the third phase, senior fitness area, which include diverse facilities to meet the recreational needs of local residents. Currently positioned as a dynamic theme park with the motto "Vibrant Belief, Limitless Youth," it provides a well-equipped basketball court, allowing basketball enthusiasts of different ages to enjoy a great place for sports. Lujiao Creek Park is just a 5-minute walk from Shanjia Train Station. Once dominated by metal factories, the area has transformed into a park that beautifully complements Shanzijiao Park alongside Lujiao Creek, making the surrounding environment more pleasant and fulfilling recreational needs across all age groups. This elongated park, covering nearly 1,000 ping, features lush willows along the banks of Lujiao Creek, with wooden walkways connecting to Shanjia Train Station and the Hakka Arts and Culture Center. The district office will further purify Lujiao Creek to ensure the waters alongside the park are clearer and more conducive for fish and shrimp habitats.
