Shulin Indigenous Themed Village Park Introduction
The Indigenous-Themed Village Park on the left bank of the Dahan River was completed in 2009. In addition to the colorful paintings on the embankment and the circular activity plaza, the park's circular activity plaza has been furnished with new totems to enhance its appearance. Consideration has also been given to bus parking spaces for tour buses during events held in the area, with the addition of two large bus parking spots and pedestrian pathways, as well as the widening of the entrance area to the small car parking lot, making it more convenient for Indigenous groups and the general public to hold events here. Every year, the New Taipei City Indigenous Peoples' Joint Cultural Event is held here, featuring Indigenous cultural creations, traditional foods, and agricultural specialty product exhibitions, bringing together the Indigenous peoples residing in New Taipei City, which not only fosters feelings of kinship but also serves as an important reminder not to forget the cultural roots of their tribes. On the east side of the park's parking lot, there is a traditional archery range for Indigenous peoples, as archery is one of the important traditional cultures of Indigenous peoples. This facility will benefit more Indigenous friends, providing a great place for archery competitions and recreation. The park also includes facilities such as a sports field, barbecue area, and harvest festival plaza.
