Shulin Indigenous Theme Tribal Park Introduction
The Aboriginal-themed tribal park on the left bank of the Dahan River was completed in 2009. In addition to painting the embankment and circular activity plaza, new totems were added to the park's circular activity plaza to enhance its appearance. The design also considered the space for tour bus parking during events, adding two large bus parking spaces and pedestrian walkways, while widening the entrance area of the small car parking lot, making it more convenient for Indigenous friends and the general public to host events. Every year, the New Taipei City Indigenous Peoples' United Cultural Event is held here, where Indigenous cultural creations, traditional foods, and agricultural products are showcased, gathering the Indigenous people living in New Taipei City. This not only fosters community feelings but importantly reminds everyone not to forget the cultural roots of their tribes. On the eastern side of the park's parking lot, there is a traditional archery range for Indigenous people. Archery is one of the important traditional cultures of the Indigenous community, providing a great place for more Indigenous friends to engage in archery competitions and recreation. The park also features facilities such as sports fields, barbecue areas, and a harvest festival plaza.
