Shulin Indigenous Peoples Theme Village Park Introduction
The Indigenous People's Themed Tribal Park on the left bank of the Dahan River was completed in 2009. In addition to the colorful murals on the embankment and circular activity square, new totems have been added to enhance the park's appearance. The design also takes into account the need for bus parking spaces for group activities, with the addition of two large bus parking spots, pedestrian pathways, and an expanded entrance to the small car parking area, making it more convenient for Indigenous friends and the general public to hold events here. Each year, the New Taipei City Indigenous Peoples' United Cultural Activities are held here, allowing for the discovery of Indigenous cultural creations, traditional foods, and a display area for agricultural specialties. This event gathers the Indigenous peoples living in New Taipei City, fostering a sense of community and importantly, reminding participants not to forget the cultural roots of their tribes. On the east side of the tribal park parking lot, a traditional archery range has been established. Archery is one of the important traditional cultures of the Indigenous peoples and will benefit more Indigenous friends by providing a great place for archery competitions and relaxation. The park also features various facilities such as sports fields, barbecue areas, and a Harvest Festival Square.
