Shulin Indigenous People's Theme Tribal Park Introduction
The Indigenous Themed Tribal Park on the left bank of the Dahan River was completed in 2009. In addition to the colorful painting of the embankment and the circular activity square, new totems have been installed in the park's circular activity square to enhance its appearance. The design also takes into account the parking space for tour buses during events, adding two bus parking spaces and a pedestrian walkway, while widening the entrance of the car parking lot to facilitate greater convenience for indigenous friends and other groups when holding activities here. Each year, the park hosts the New Taipei City Indigenous Peoples United Cultural Event, where indigenous cultural creations, traditional foods, and local agricultural products are showcased, gathering the indigenous peoples living in New Taipei City. This not only fosters a sense of community among the tribes but also serves as an important reminder not to forget the cultural roots of the communities. On the east side of the tribal park parking lot, there is a traditional archery range for indigenous peoples, as archery is one of their significant traditional cultures, benefiting more indigenous friends with a great place for archery competitions and leisure. It also features facilities such as a basketball court, barbecue area, and Harvest Festival square.
