Shulin Indigenous Tribal Park Introduction
The Indigenous-themed Tribal Park on the left bank of the Dahan River was completed in 2009. In addition to the colorful painting of the embankment and circular activity square, new totems have been installed to enhance the park's appearance. The design also considered parking space for tour buses during events, adding two large bus parking spaces, pedestrian pathways, and widening the entrance to the small car parking area, making it more convenient for Indigenous groups and the general public to hold events here. Every year, the New Taipei City Indigenous Peoples' United Cultural Event is held here, showcasing Indigenous cultural creativity, traditional foods, and an exhibition area for agricultural and specialty products, gathering the Indigenous people living in New Taipei City. This not only strengthens the bonds among the community members but also serves as a reminder not to forget the cultural roots of the tribes. On the east side of the Tribal Park parking lot, there is a traditional archery range for Indigenous people. Archery is one of the important traditional cultures of the Indigenous peoples, providing a great place for more Indigenous friends to engage in archery competitions and recreation. The park includes various facilities such as a sports field, barbecue area, and harvest festival square.
