Shulin Indigenous People's Thematic Tribal Park Introduction
The Indigenous-themed Tribal Park on the left bank of the Dahan River was completed in 2009. In addition to the coloring of the embankment and the circular activity square, new totems have been installed to enhance the park's appearance. The park also considers the space for tour bus parking during events, adding two large bus parking spaces and a pedestrian walkway, as well as widening the entrance space of the small car parking lot, making it more convenient for Indigenous friends and the general public to hold events here. Each year, the New Taipei City Indigenous Cultural Festival is held here, which showcases Indigenous cultural creations, traditional foods, and agricultural special products, bringing together Indigenous people living in New Taipei City. This not only strengthens the bonds among the tribe members but also serves as a reminder not to forget the cultural roots of the tribal community. On the east side of the tribal park's parking lot, a traditional archery range for Indigenous people has been established. Archery is one of the important traditional cultures of Indigenous people, which will benefit more Indigenous friends by providing a place for archery competitions and relaxation. The park also includes facilities such as sports fields, barbecue areas, and a Harvest Festival square.
