Located near the Yingshi Pavilion along the Sun Long Trail, this area was previously a section of a light railway (coal railway) used for transporting coal from the nearby Wuyi Coal Mine No. 2, which has been closed for many years. This small tunnel was built as a safety measure to straighten out a section of the railway that originally had a sharper curve. The No. 2 tunnel is the only small tunnel in the Yingge Mountain area, measuring only about ten meters in length and five meters in width, making it a relatively rare mini tunnel that often piques the curiosity of hikers who come to view or take photos of it.

The Yingge District of New Taipei City has a total of eighteen planned hiking trails, suitable for mountain climbing enthusiasts. The Erkong Tunnel is located near the Ying Stone Pavilion along the Sun Long Trail. It was previously a light rail (coal transport railway) used to transport coal from the nearby Wuyi Coal Mine, which has been closed for many years. This small tunnel was part of a section of the light rail that had a significant curve. To ensure safety, the relevant authorities straightened the path by excavating this small tunnel. The Erkong Tunnel is the only small tunnel in the Yingge Mountain area, measuring only about ten meters in length and five meters in width. It is a relatively rare mini-tunnel that often attracts the curiosity of hikers who come to view or take photos.
