Located near the Ying Stone Pavilion along the Sun Lung Trail, this area used to be a light railway (coal transport railway) for transporting coal from the nearby Wuyi Coal Mine No. 2, which has been closed for many years. This small tunnel was part of a section of the light railway that originally had a sharper curve. To ensure safety, the relevant authorities straightened the curve and excavated this small tunnel. The No. 2 Mine Tunnel is the only small tunnel in the Yingge Mountain area, measuring only about ten meters in length and five meters in width, making it a rare mini tunnel that often piques the curiosity of hikers who come to see or take photos for memories.

Er-Keng Tunnel Introduction

In the Yingge District of New Taipei City, there are a total of eighteen planned hiking trails, making it suitable for hiking enthusiasts. The Erkong Tunnel is located near the Ying Stone Pavilion along the Sun Long Trail. It was previously a narrow-gauge railway used to transport coal from the now-closed Wuyi Coal Mine's Erkong. This small tunnel was originally part of a section of the narrow-gauge railway that had a sharper curve. To ensure safety, the relevant authorities straightened the curve by excavating this small tunnel. As the only small tunnel in the Yingge Mountain area, the Erkong Tunnel is about ten meters long and five meters wide, making it a rather rare mini-tunnel that often attracts hikers' curiosity for viewing or taking photos.
