Li Meishu Memorial Museum Introduction
Located in the Sanxia District of New Taipei City, it was established in April 1995 as a memorial hall dedicated to Taiwanese painter Li Mei-shu and exhibiting his works. The hall houses a collection of Mr. Li's masterpieces and various artifacts. Professor Li's creations primarily aim to showcase the beauty of Taiwan's countryside, employing a realistic artistic style. His beloved Sanxia landscapes are infused with his emphasized artistic philosophy of "wind, soil, people, and emotion." However, some of his works exhibit unique styles, such as "The Boy Teasing the Turkey," which uses 3D techniques, reminiscent of the world-famous painting "Mona Lisa." Master Li loved his hometown of Sanxia and devoted much of his life to constructing the Zushi Temple, making it one of Taiwan's most enduring and intricately crafted temples. One of the docents in the memorial hall is Master Li's son, who is also a character that occasionally appears in his father's paintings, adding an element of fun and imaginative space to the explanation of the artworks.
