Jing'an Bridge Introduction
The Jing'an Suspension Bridge, located in the Shifen District of New Taipei City, is colorful and eye-catching. It sits between Shifen Village and Nanshan Village, close to Shifen Station and Shifen Old Street. It serves as an important connecting bridge and is the most prominent landmark in the Shifen Liao area. The Jing'an Suspension Bridge has a long history; it was originally built for transporting coal. After coal mining ceased, it was transformed into a pedestrian-only thoroughfare, and it has fulfilled this role ever since. The bridge spans a total length of 128 meters, connecting Shifen Village and Nanshan Village. Constructed in 1947, it was originally built for coal transportation. Its location near Shifen Railway Station and Old Street, along with its blue and white colors, makes it a popular spot for tourists to take photos.
