The suspension bridge is 128 meters long and serves as a connecting bridge between Shifen and Nanshan. It was built in 1947 (the 36th year of the Republic of China) for the transportation of coal. After coal mining ceased, the bridge was renovated and repurposed for pedestrian use. It is located near Shifen Railway Station and the old street, with the Keelung River flowing underneath. The blue and white suspension bridge has also become a popular photo spot for travelers.
