The suspension bridge is 128 meters long and serves as a connecting bridge between Shifen and Nanshan villages. It was built in 1947 (the 36th year of the Republic of China) for the transportation of coal. After coal mining ceased, the bridge was renovated and repurposed as a pedestrian suspension bridge. Located near Shifen Train Station and the old street, the blue and white suspension bridge has also become a popular photo spot for travelers visiting the area.

The Jing'an Suspension Bridge, colorful and dazzling, is located in the Shifen District of New Taipei City, between Shifen and Nanshan villages, near Shifen Train Station and Shifen Old Street. It is an important connecting bridge and the most prominent landmark in the Shifenliao area. The Jing'an Suspension Bridge has a long history; it was originally used for transporting coal. After coal mining ceased, it was converted into a pedestrian-only thoroughfare, and it has fulfilled this role ever since.
