Shimen Kite Park Introduction
Shimen Kite Park, located near Shimen Old Plum, covers an area of approximately 6 hectares and is the most suitable venue for kite flying and international competitions in Southeast Asia. It originated from the annual festival held in Shimen District - the Shimen Kite Festival. Since its inception, it has attracted many kite enthusiasts from both domestic and international locations every year, bringing significant tourism benefits to the area. With the establishment of the kite park, kite enthusiasts, families, and couples can enjoy a suitable kite-flying venue at any time, experiencing the joy of flying kites. Shimen District is known as the "Hometown of Kites" due to its favorable terrain for kite flying, and the promoted kite festival has become a hallmark of the district, attracting many kite enthusiasts each year to showcase their skills, with a variety of kites soaring in the sky, competing for attention. The event also encourages creativity by innovating traditional kites that were played with in childhood, promoting not only active participation but also the creation of unique designs, thereby injecting new vitality into kite culture.
