Shimen Kite Park Introduction
Shimen Kite Park, located near Shimen Old Plum, covers an area of about 6 hectares and is the most suitable venue for kite flying and international competitions in Southeast Asia. It originated from the annual festival held in Shimen District – the Shimen Kite Festival. Since its inception, it has attracted many kite enthusiasts from both domestic and abroad each year, bringing significant tourism benefits to the area. With the establishment of the kite park, kite flyers, families, and couples from both domestic and abroad now have appropriate venues to enjoy the fun of kite flying at any time. Shimen District is known as the "Hometown of Kites" due to its favorable terrain for kite flying, and the promoted kite festival has become a characteristic of the district.
