Caoli Fishing Port Introduction
Originally named Ali Lau, it is located on the Dajing Road, about a ten-minute walk from the Eighteen Wang Gong Temple. The harbor was originally a small dock for fishing boats and sampans, but now it has a mooring area of 0.39 hectares and a dock available for boats. However, due to the shallow waters, the dock is mainly used for regular operations, and fishing boats typically seek shelter in the nearby Fuchi Fishing Harbor during rough weather. Related land facilities include a staging area, water supply station, oil storage tank, and signaling light pole. After renovation, Caoli Fishing Harbor in Shimen District has optimized the fishing area, added railings, installed lifebuoys, and opened for family night barbecues. This location is chosen as the first fishing port to promote transformation due to its calm waves and diverse fish species, including Smelt, Bamboo Flounder, Green Fish, and Pufferfish. Future plans include the addition of a coffee station, allowing fishing visitors to relax and unwind.
