Cao Li Fishing Port Introduction
Originally named Ali Lao, it is located on the Danjin Highway, about ten minutes' walk from the Shibawangong Temple. The port was originally a docking area for small fishing boats and canoes, and now has an area of 0.39 hectares and a pier available for use by boats. However, due to the shallow waters in the port area, the pier is currently only used for regular operations; during larger waves, fishing boats will head to the nearby Fugi Fishing Port for shelter. Related onshore facilities include a boat ramp, a water station, an oil storage facility, and a light mast. After renovation, Caoli Fishing Port in Shimen District has optimized the fishing areas, added railings, installed lifebuoys, and opened up night-time barbecue for families. This location is selected as the first fishing port for transformation due to its calm waves and diverse fish species, such as stink fish, bamboo cod, greenling, and pufferfish. Future plans include adding a coffee station to allow fishing tourists to relax more comfortably.
