Tea Mountain Trail Introduction

Shimen District, with a century-old history as a tea hometown, is located on the back slope of the coastal terrace, which protects it from the cold, damp, and salty sea winds. Coupled with the pure water quality from the Datun Mountain Range, its unique geographical location creates the mellow and flavorful Tieguanyin tea of Shimen. Entering from the North 21 Provincial Highway opposite Shimen Caoli Fishing Port, visitors can follow the signs to reach the Tea Mountain Trail. Surrounded by greenery and fragrant tea flowers planted along both sides of the trail, a walk to the end of the trail, at an elevation of about 400 meters, offers a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and overlooks the scenery of Shimen, capturing the beauty of the tea mountains. On rainy days, mist envelops the area, lending a unique charm to the mountain scenery. Continuing along the Tea Mountain Trail for another kilometer leads to the eternal voice – the Teresa Teng Memorial Park, where the legendary singer rests in the picturesque Jinbao Mountain, facing the sea. The memorial, named after her given name Teng Liyun, features a garden for fans to visit and pay tribute. To experience the tea hometown's charm filled with tea trees across the mountains, a stroll along the Tea Mountain Trail is quite enlightening.
