Jinshan Diving Stone Coast Introduction
Along the Danjin Highway heading towards Shimen, the mountainside closely borders the sea, with a coastline stretching for several tens of kilometers. Along the shore, pebbles of various sizes are scattered, and one can see waves of pure white surf crashing onto the shore. Every autumn and winter, the sky over the North Coast changes dramatically, making for an exquisite view that has become the classic scenery of Jumping Stone Coast, attracting countless travelers. Whether enjoying afternoon tea at a nearby café or walking along the coastline to feel the sea breeze, one can appreciate the stunning beauty of Jumping Stone Coast. The name Jumping Stone Coast originated before the Danjin Highway was opened. Here, the turbulent waves prevented travelers from passing. When residents and passing merchants reached this area, they had to wait for the tide to recede before they could jump across the numerous pebbles, making the process quite strenuous, thus earning the name "Jumping Stone Coast." At Jumping Stone Coast, one can converse with stones from tens of thousands of years ago. All around are smooth pebbles, remnants of volcanic rocks ejected during the eruption of the Datun Volcano millennia ago. Subsequent landslides caused most stones to roll down, gradually forming the beach. Over time, through the relentless erosion of the waves and the winds of the northeast monsoon, the rounded pebble beach was created, forming this unique volcanic coastal landscape. It is an ideal spot for travelers to pause, converse with Jumping Stone Coast, and enjoy leisurely moments.
