Cimu Peak Hiking Trail Introduction

The Pingxi area in New Taipei City is surrounded by peaks, with over 20 hills collectively known as "Ershisi Xiaoshan" (Twenty-four Filial Piety Mountain). Among them, there are three famous mountains: Mount Filial Piety, Mount Maternal Love, and Mount Putuo. Although they appear daunting and hard to climb, fortunately, there are man-made rock stairs on the steep and rugged ridges, as well as ropes and railings for support, which attract many hikers. The trail begins at the hiking entrance of Shidi Bridge, passing through a low-altitude broadleaf forest gorge to the crossroads where three peaks meet. To the left is Mount Filial Piety, to the right is Mount Putuo, and straight ahead leads to Mount Maternal Love. Mount Maternal Love stands at an elevation of 410 meters, and from its summit, one can continue north to reach the other prominent peak, Mount Putuo.

Transportation Methods：【By Car】 1. From National Highway No. 1, take the Nuannuan Interchange, transfer to Taiwan Route 106, and proceed to Pingxi Junior High School at 61.5K. 2. From National Highway No. 5, take the Shihding Interchange, go through Shihding, and transfer to Taiwan Route 106 to Pingxi Junior High School at 61.5K. 【Public Transportation】 By Train: Get off at Ruifang Station on the Taiwan Railways, then transfer to the Pingxi Branch Line train to Pingxi Station, and walk towards Pingxi Junior High School. By Bus: Take the Wenshan-Neihu Line MRT to Muzha Station, then transfer to bus 795 Taipei Bus【Muzha-Pingxi Line】, get off at Pingxi Junior High School Station.

Remarks：1. Trail difficulty level: Nature hiking type (mainly consists of permeable surfaces such as wooden and stone paving and moderate facilities, suitable for those who want to get close to nature and have the ability to hike on natural mountain paths) 2. Total route length is approximately 0.14 kilometers.
