Cimu Peak Trail Introduction

The Pingxi area in New Taipei City is surrounded by mountains, with more than 20 peaks collectively known as "the Twenty-Four Filial Piety Mountains." Among them are three famous peaks: Mount Xiaozi, Mount Cimu, and Mount Putuo, which appear to be perilous to climb. Fortunately, there are man-made rock steps carved into the steep, hard ridges, along with ropes and iron railings to assist climbers, attracting many hikers. The trail begins at the trailhead of Shiditiao Bridge, passing through a low-elevation broadleaf forest valley to reach a crossroad where three peaks converge: left leads to Mount Xiaozi, right to Mount Putuo, and straight ahead leads to Mount Cimu. Mount Cimu has an elevation of 410 meters, and from its summit, visitors can proceed north to reach the nearby peak of Mount Putuo.

Transportation Methods：【By Car】 1. Take National Highway No. 1, exit at Nuannuan Interchange, transfer to Taishan→then take Route 106 to 61.5K Pingxi Junior High School. 2. Take National Highway No. 5, exit at Shiding Interchange, go through Shiding→then take Route 106 to 61.5K Pingxi Junior High School. 【Public Transport】 Train: Get off at TRA Ruifang Station, transfer to the Pingxi Branch Line train to Pingxi Station, then walk towards Pingxi Junior High School. Bus: Take the Wenhu Line MRT to Muzha Station, then transfer to Bus No. 795 Taipei Bus【Muzha-Pingxi Line】to Pingxi Junior High School Station.

Trail difficulty level: Nature hiking type (mainly characterized by permeable surfaces such as wood and stone, with moderate use facilities, intended for those who wish to be close to nature and have natural trail hiking abilities) 2. Total length of the route is approximately 0.14 kilometers.
