Cimu Peak Trail Introduction
The Pingxi area in New Taipei City is surrounded by mountainous peaks, with over 20 hills collectively known as "Twenty-Four Filial Piety Mountains." Among them, there are three famous peaks: Xiaotzi Mountain, Cimu Peak, and Putuo Mountain, which appear daunting and difficult to climb. Fortunately, there are man-made stone steps carved into the steep and rugged rock ridges, along with ropes and iron railings to assist hikers, attracting many mountain climbers. The trail begins at the entrance of Shidi Bridge, passing through a low-elevation broadleaf forest valley to reach the intersection where the three peaks converge. To the left is Xiaotzi Mountain, to the right is Putuo Mountain, and straight ahead leads to Cimu Peak. Cimu Peak stands at an elevation of 410 meters, and from the summit of Cimu Peak, one can continue north to reach the prominent Putuo Mountain.
