Old Caoling Circular Bike Path Introduction
The Old Caoling Tunnel Cycling Path is approximately 20 kilometers long, and cycling round trip takes about 2 hours. The starting point is Fulong Station, where you can enjoy the view of Turtle Island along with the continuous coastline and majestic mountains, making it a must-visit spot for admiring the stunning combination of mountains and sea! Along the way, you will pass through the Old Caoling Tunnel, crossing the boundary between New Taipei and Yilan. After traversing the cool and tranquil tunnel, it feels as though you've entered the world of "Spirited Away," with the vast ocean on the other side. You will also encounter two small fishing villages that seem like paradise: Magang and Miaao, where time appears to stand still. Bicycle rental shops are located on both sides outside Fulong Station. It is highly recommended to rent an electric bike from these shops if you intend to ride the entire circular route, as it may be challenging for your stamina. Additionally, be sure to prepare for sun protection during summer rides, bringing masks, bottled water, and other essentials.
