Old Caoling Circular Bike Path Introduction
The Old Caoling Tunnel Bicycle Path is approximately 20 kilometers long, and cycling round trip takes about 2 hours, starting from Fulong Station. Along the way, cyclists can enjoy the views of Turtle Island, a continuous coastline, and magnificent mountain cliffs, making it a must-visit attraction to appreciate the beauty of the mountains and the sea in harmony! The path passes through the Old Caoling Tunnel, crossing the boundary between New Taipei and Yilan. After passing through the quiet and cool tunnel, it feels as if you have entered the world of Spirited Away, with the vast ocean on the other side of the tunnel. Along the way, you will encounter two picturesque fishing villages, Magang and Miaao, where time seems to stand still. Bicycle rentals are available at the shops on both sides of Fulong Station. It is highly recommended to rent an electric bicycle from these shops if you wish to complete the entire circuit, as physical stamina may be a concern. Additionally, make sure to prepare for sun protection during summer rides by bringing a mask, bottled water, and other essentials.
