The entrance to Trail No. 9 is located within Lane 383, Section 1 of Jingbu Road. It can be accessed by turning from Jingbu Road next to the Daken Earthquake Park into Lane 383 and continuing along the industrial road uphill, connecting to Trail No. 6 and Guanyin Pavilion. The total distance from Jingbu Road is approximately 1.7 kilometers. Hikers can park their vehicles at the Jingbu Parking Lot or the parking lot next to the Earthquake Park, and then enjoy a quality hiking experience. The Daken Trail No. 9-1 features a gentle and easy route, linking both ends of the trail to Jingbu Road. The trail connects at its exit to Trail No. 9, then circles around with Trail No. 10, which can be completed in about 1.5 hours. Hiking enthusiasts are warmly welcomed to explore this trail.

Dagang Scenic Area - Hiking Trail Guide Dagang Scenic Area is an important recreational spot for residents of Taichung City, providing a place for spiritual relaxation and a destination for hikers to exercise. It has become a popular tourist attraction in central Taiwan. On weekends and holidays, you can often see groups of people and families enjoying the scenery together, making it a shared backyard for the citizens of Taichung. One of the most distinctive features of the area is its 13 hiking trails. Trails No. 1 to 8 were established in the early 1980s, constructed based on the natural terrain created by the intersections of Dagang Mountain and streams, with the highest elevation reaching 859 meters at Toukeng Mountain. Trail No. 9 was opened in December 2005, Trail No. 10 was completed in March 2008, and Trail No. 9-1 was finished in November 2013. Trail No. 9 is approximately 1.6 kilometers long, suitable for families to walk together. Access point: Directly across from the Bengu parking lot along Jingbu Road to Jiujiu Bridge. Characteristics: This trail is lined with greenery, providing a peaceful environment with expansive views, allowing you to overlook the urban scenery of the 11th phase redevelopment area. There are also remnants of an ammunition depot from the Japanese colonial period and the Dali River nearby, with the entrance leading to the 921 Earthquake Park. Trail No. 9-1 is about 0.6 kilometers long and is also suitable for family walks. Access point: Proceed straight along Jingbu Road and go through Jiujiu Bridge. Characteristics: A farmer's market is set up along the way to the trailhead, where hikers can find locally produced agricultural products from the Dagang area. Transportation Methods:1. Taichung Bus (Taichung Station 04-22224102): Routes 15 and 16 (board at Liyuan East Station) can also reach Chung Tai University; additionally, at the intersection of Dongshan Road and Songzhu Road, you can take Taichung Bus Route 66 (Route 66 loops through Dakeng). 2. Renyou Bus (04-22255166): Routes 1, 20, 21, and 31 (board at Liyuan East Station; it's recommended to take Renyou as there are more buses available). 3. Fengyuan Bus (Taichung North Station 04-22223435): Buses heading towards Zhongxinglin, Xinshe, and Dongshi directions, etc.


Remarks:1. It is recommended that the elderly and those with high blood pressure avoid climbing the Dakeng Trails No. 1 to 5 and No. 5-1. 2. The Daken Trail No. 4 has a significant elevation change, featuring a 300-meter vertical steep slope. 3. Generally speaking, Daken Trails No. 6, 7, 8, 9, and No. 9-1 are more suitable for both men and women.
