New Taipei City Eco Park Introduction
Xindu Ecological Park is Taichung City's first park developed using ecological engineering methods, covering an area of approximately 2.5 hectares. It integrates ecological techniques with overall greening initiatives, introducing water from Babu River, which is treated for purification before being released into downstream ecological ditches. Koi fish are introduced for water quality monitoring and ornamental purposes. In the evenings, it becomes a popular spot for citizens to take walks and relax. In addition to the ecological park, green spaces are utilized to connect the overall community's interactive living spaces, extending up to one kilometer. A natural landscape performance square is planned for construction within the area, which is filled with trees and lush grass, providing a recreational area for local residents. The ecological ditches, built with cobblestones and coupled with greenbelt walkways, are excellent places for community residents to stroll leisurely and serve as ideal spots for children to play and engage in ecological education.
