Xindu Ecological Park Introduction
Xindu Ecological Park is the first park in Taichung City built using ecological methods, covering an area of about 2.5 hectares. The park integrates ecological techniques with overall green beautification, introducing water from the Babao Creek, which is treated and then channeled into downstream ecological ditches. Koi fish are raised for water quality monitoring and for viewing purposes. In the evenings, it becomes a great place for people to walk and relax. In addition to the ecological park, green spaces are used to connect the overall community interaction area, with a length of up to one kilometer, planning the construction of a natural landscape performance square. The area is rich in trees and lush grass, providing a spot for nearby residents to engage in recreational activities. The ecological ditches, built with pebbles and paired with greenbelt walkways, are great spots for community residents to take leisurely strolls and also serve as ideal locations for children's play and ecological education.
