Xindu Ecological Park Introduction
Xindu Ecology Park is Taichung City's first park developed using ecological engineering methods, covering an area of approximately 2.5 hectares. It integrates ecological engineering with overall greenery enhancement, introducing the water from Bahao Stream, which is treated for purification before being discharged into downstream ecological ditches. Koi fish are raised there for water quality monitoring and recreational viewing. In the evenings, it becomes a great place for the public to stroll and relax. In addition to the ecology park, green spaces are utilized to connect interactive areas of the community, spanning a length of one kilometer, with plans for the construction of a natural landscape performance square. The area is densely planted with trees and lush grass, providing a venue for recreational activities for local residents. The ecological ditch, constructed with cobblestones and paired with green pathways, is an excellent spot for community residents to take leisurely walks, as well as an ideal location for children to play and for ecological education.
