Xindu Ecological Park Introduction
The Xindu Ecological Park is Taichung City's first park developed using ecological methods, covering an area of approximately 2.5 hectares. It combines ecological practices with overall landscaping, introducing water from the Babao Canal, which is purified before being released into downstream ecological ditches. Koi fish are raised to monitor water quality and for ornamental purposes. In the evening, it becomes a popular place for people to stroll and relax. In addition to the ecological park, a green space that connects the entire community's interactive living areas spans a length of one kilometer, with plans for a natural landscape performance square. The area is filled with trees and lush grass, providing a recreational space for local residents. The ecological ditches, constructed with pebbles and paired with walking paths, are a great place for community residents to leisurely walk, and serve as an ideal spot for children to play and for ecological education.
