Xindu Ecological Park Introduction
Xindu Ecological Park is Taichung City's first park established using ecological methods, covering approximately 2.5 hectares. It integrates ecological practices with overall landscaping, introducing water from the Babao Creek, which is purified before being discharged into downstream ecological channels. Koi fish are raised in these channels to monitor water quality and for viewing purposes. In the evenings, it becomes a great place for the public to stroll and relax. In addition to the ecological park, a green space connects the community, creating interactive areas with a length of one kilometer. There are plans to build a natural landscape performance square within the area, which is richly planted with trees and lush grass, offering a spot for local residents to engage in recreational activities. The ecological channels, constructed with pebbles and complemented by greenway paths, are ideal for leisurely walks for community residents and serve as an excellent location for children's play and ecological education.
