Yuanman Outdoor Theatre Introduction
Fulfillment Amphitheatre is located next to Wenxin Forest Park. In 2001, the city government proposed an innovative construction plan to enhance cultural development by integrating park green space with a large outdoor amphitheater, aiming to establish the city's unique characteristics. After active promotion and coordination, the Fulfillment Amphitheatre was completed in 2006, and a stage canopy was constructed in 2008, managed by the Taichung City Government's Cultural Affairs Bureau. The amphitheater features an outdoor open stage performance space with a maximum width of 51 meters and a minimum width of 40 meters; a depth of 18 meters; and a height of up to 11.5 meters and down to a minimum of 9.5 meters. The backstage is a reinforced concrete building with two levels and a partial third level, covering an area of 110 pings, with a total floor area of 247 pings. The audience seating is divided into three tiers, including a total of 6,009 general seats and 20 seats for the mobility-impaired, totaling 6,029 seats. If the park's sloped grass area is opened for viewing, the amphitheater can accommodate up to 15,000 spectators. Since its opening on August 5, 2006, the Fulfillment Amphitheatre has continuously hosted various cultural and artistic activities, becoming Taichung City’s premier cultural and recreational public space, encouraging public participation in cultural events, and driving the development of the cultural and creative industries under the concept of "cultural economy," transforming Taichung into the "Eastern Vienna."
