Yuanman Outdoor Theater Introduction
The Fulfillment Amphitheatre is located next to the Wenxin Forest Park. Established in 2001, the city government initiated an innovative construction plan to enhance cultural development by integrating park greenery with a large outdoor theater to create a unique urban feature. With active coordination and promotion, the amphitheater was completed in 2006, and the stage roof was constructed in 2008, managed by the Taichung City Government Cultural Affairs Bureau. The amphitheater's stage is an outdoor open-stage performance space, with a maximum width of 51 meters and a minimum width of 40 meters; a depth of 18 meters; and a maximum height of 11.5 meters and a minimum height of 9.5 meters. The backstage area features a two-story plus one mezzanine reinforced concrete structure covering 110 pings, with a total floor area of 247 pings. The audience seating is divided into three levels, totaling 6,009 regular seats and 20 seats for the mobility impaired, making a total of 6,029 seats. If the grassy area of the park slope is opened as a viewing area, it can accommodate up to 15,000 spectators. Since its opening on August 5, 2006, the Fulfillment Amphitheatre has hosted various artistic and cultural events, becoming Taichung City’s premier cultural and recreational public space, boosting public participation in cultural activities, and promoting the development of the cultural and creative industries under the concept of "cultural economy," transforming Taichung City into the "Eastern Vienna."
