Taichung City Library Shigang Branch Introduction
Completed in 1993, the Shigang Branch Library stands four stories tall, with a building area of over 1,671 square meters. The outdoor reading area boasts beautiful scenery and has long become a well-known attraction in the Shigang District. Aiming to promote a leisure culture, the library balances reading and entertainment, and has now become a local cultural center featuring social education, arts, folklore, and recreational activities. The library's operating philosophy always prioritizes the needs of the public, constantly seeking innovation and change to gain community participation and recognition from local residents, while achieving sustainable development through community building. Currently, the library provides a total of 232 reading seats in both the indoor and outdoor spaces. Additionally, the library houses a Hakka Cultural Museum and specialized collections showcasing valuable local historical materials and Hakka literature.
