Taichung City Library Shigang Branch Introduction
The Shigang Branch Library, completed in 1993, is four stories high with a floor area of over 1,671 square meters. The outdoor reading area offers beautiful scenery and has become a well-known attraction in the Shigang District. Aiming to promote a cultural and recreational atmosphere, the library emphasizes both reading and entertainment and has now transformed into a local cultural center featuring educational, artistic, folk, and recreational characteristics. The library's operational philosophy prioritizes public needs, constantly seeking innovation and change to gain recognition from the community and local residents, while achieving sustainable development through community building. Currently, the library and the surrounding outdoor space provide a total of 232 reading seats. Additionally, the library houses a Hakka Cultural Museum and special collections that preserve valuable local historical materials and Hakka literature.
