Taichung City Library Shigang Branch Introduction
The Shigang Branch, completed in 1993, is a four-story building with an area of over 1,671 square meters. The outdoor reading area offers beautiful scenery and has become a well-known attraction in the Shigang District. Aiming to promote a leisure culture, the library balances reading and entertainment, and has now evolved into a local cultural center characterized by social education, arts, folklore, and recreation. The library's management philosophy has always prioritized the needs of the public, continuously seeking innovation and change to gain public participation and local recognition. Through community building, it aims to achieve sustainable development. Currently, there are a total of 232 reading seats available in the indoor and surrounding outdoor spaces. Additionally, the library features a Hakka Cultural Museum and special collections that preserve valuable local historical materials and Hakka literature.
