Shui Shu Leisure Agricultural Area Introduction
Shui Sui He Stream is a tributary of the Dajia River, with a total length of about 15 kilometers. In addition to providing drinking water and irrigation for farmland, it is also home to many aquatic plants and animals, making it a rich and diverse ecological resource. It serves as a natural ecology classroom and is the perfect place to experience nature. The Shui Sui He Leisure Agricultural Zone combines diverse ecology and recreational resources, featuring popular attractions such as the Scenic Footbridge, Lover's Bridge, the Divine Tree of Five Happiness, and the King of Trees Botanical Garden. Next to the Lover's Bridge is the Shih Nong Square, which houses Shih Nong Coffee, an important site in the Shui Sui He Leisure Agricultural Zone. The Shih Nong Coffee Gourmet Hall, located next to the Lover's Bridge, features a Mediterranean style with a simple structure of sea blue and pure white, reminiscent of a foreign countryside.
Lover's Bridge is located over the Shui Sui He Stream, measuring 40 meters in length and 3.5 meters in width. Its most distinctive feature is that the entire bridge has no supporting pillars. Made from imported North American logs, a specialized American engineer was invited to Taiwan to guide the construction, introducing a seismic-resistant laminated wooden bridge design. The bridge is illuminated at night, creating a romantic atmosphere, and there is also a riverside viewing platform at Shih Nong Square nearby.
The scenic views along the route have made it one of the popular leisure and tourist attractions in Taichung City. Riding a bike allows you to experience the natural landscape of Shui Sui He and travel through a green tunnel, providing a healing experience through nature. Themed activities include the "Pear Tasting at Shigang" resembling love, seasonal agricultural tours like "Love You, Happy Sea of Flowers" activities, fruit-picking experiences, and coffee experiences.
Crops produced include Ponkan tangerines, loquats, grapes, grafted pears, and peaches. Attractions in the recreational area include Lover's Bridge, East Feng Bicycle Green Corridor, Shih Nong Café, and scenic orchards.
