Taichung City Changongguan - Bulao Dream 125号 Introduction
Bulao Dream No. 125, the former Miyahara Villa completed in 1929 (Showa 4), was built by ophthalmologist Miyahara Takesuke as his residential villa. In 1945, after the Japanese returned to Japan, it was taken over by the Taichung City Government for use as the mayor's residence. In 2016, the Hongdao Elderly Welfare Foundation, in response to Taichung City’s elderly care policy and to revitalize historical buildings, created "Bulao Dream No. 125" with the planning concept of "Silver Creativity Participation." By showcasing various dreams of the elderly, real-life elder "living libraries," and food that combines ancient wisdom with new creativity, it conveys the "three ageless spirits" of a youthful heart, timeless dreams, and everlasting mobility. 【Bulao Dream Exhibition】 How much courage do you have to dream when you turn eighty? In fact, dreaming is a state of mind, regardless of age! The first floor of the exhibition hall features a "Bulao Dream Permanent Exhibition" and "Living Library," presenting real stories that reveal the amazing dreams and timeless dream-pursuing power of the elderly. Meeting an elder is like opening a world or reading a book, expanding your horizons, and you are welcome to borrow from the "Bulao Living Library"! The second floor of the exhibition hall, known as the "Dream Special Zone," regularly hosts various dream special exhibitions and activities. ♥ Group reservations for guided tours, free exhibitions, and venue rentals are welcome. 【Dream Garden】 The spacious courtyard of Bulao Dream No. 125 regularly hosts various activities and charity markets, where the flower beds transform into edible landscapes, as elders plant and harvest different plants each season, interacting with the younger generation to create a green urban rural corner in the old city area of Taichung. ♥ Venue rental for groups and participation in the 125 Dream Market event are welcome. 【Bulao Food Studio X Bulao Chefs/Servers】 Senior interns are not just seen in movies; Bulao Food Studio directly creates job opportunities for the elderly, hiring them as Bulao chefs and Bulao servers, with the oldest being in the "ancestral" generation! They are eager to share their traditional flavors while learning new skills like ordering with an iPad. You are welcome to experience their ageless passion and see the vitality of elderly employment. ♥ Reservations for dates, gatherings, afternoon tea, private dining for groups of 10 or more are welcome【Slow Food Leisure - Xianjiao Broadway Set】 Old memories, new flavors. Perfectly proportioned meat is stir-fried to create a fragrant meat sauce, paired with freshly ground rice milk, combined with pumpkin, spinach, red yeast rice, or purple sweet potato, transforming into colorful bowls that resemble rice pudding and macarons in handmade bamboo steamers, along with freshly harvested seasonal vegetables from the garden, creating the Bulao fashion meat sauce rice salad set. 【125°C Care Corner】 Funded by Taichung City Government's Health Bureau as part of the "107 Annual Community Overall Care System A Level Unit Plan," the "125°C Care Corner" was initiated to provide long-term care service consultations to make such services accessible and visible, offering comprehensive companionship and care services. It combines a diversified aesthetic relaxation space and regularly organizes care community activities, lectures, and gatherings targeting different service groups, serving as a platform for professional care service resource connections and exchanges within the region.
