Changua Dream 125, Taichung City Introduction
Bulao Dream 125, built in 1929 (Showa 4), is the villa of Dr. Mu-Kyuu Miyahara, constructed by the ophthalmologist Dr. Miyahara. After the Japanese returned home in 1945, it was taken over by the Taichung City Government for use as the mayor's residence. In 2016, the Hongdao Elderly Welfare Foundation, in response to Taichung City's elderly care policy and to revitalize historical buildings, created "Bulao Dream 125" with the planning concept of "Silver Creativity Participation," focusing on elderly participation and cultural creativity. Through various dreams of the elderly, real-life elder storytellers, and food and drinks that combine old wisdom with new creativity, it conveys the spirit of being ageless in heart, dreams, and actions. The [Bulao Dream Exhibition] asks the question: How much courage do you have to dream when you are eighty? In fact, dreams are a posture, regardless of age! The first floor of the exhibition hall features a "Bulao Dream Permanent Exhibition" and a "Real-Life Bookstore," allowing people to see the extraordinary dreams and the ageless dream realization power of grandparents through true stories; meeting an elder is like opening a world or reading a book that broadens your perspective. You are also welcome to borrow from the "Bulao Real-Life Bookstore!" The second floor's "Dream Zone" regularly hosts various dream exhibitions and activities. ♥ Group reservations for visits are welcome, with free admission/guided tours on weekends/venue rentals. 【Dream Garden】 The spacious courtyard of Bulao Dream 125 periodically hosts various activities and charity markets. The flower beds have transformed into edible landscapes, allowing elders to plant and harvest different plants each season and interact with the younger generation, creating a green urban farming corner in Taichung's old city area. ♥ Group venue rentals and participation in the 125 Dream Market are welcome. 【Bulao Food Studio X Bulao Cooks/Service Personnel】 Senior interns are not just performing in movies; Bulao Food Studio creates job opportunities for the elderly by hiring them as Bulao cooks and service personnel, the oldest of whom is "grandparent-level"! They love sharing and passing on traditional flavors and are eager to learn new skills like ordering with an iPad. You are invited to experience the ageless enthusiasm and see the vigor of elderly employment. ♥ Reservations for dates, group meals, afternoon tea, and private menu dishes for groups of 10 or more are welcome. 【Slow Food, Leisure- Xianjiao Broadway Set】 Old memories, new tastes. Using the perfect fat-to-lean ratio to fry fragrant minced pork, paired with freshly milled rice milk infused with pumpkin, spinach, red yeast rice, or purple sweet potato, transforming into bowls that resemble rice pudding or macarons in handmade bamboo steamers, combined with fresh seasonal vegetables from the farm in the stylish Bulao minced pork rice salad set. 【125°C Care Corner】 Supported by the Taichung City Government Health Bureau's "107 Annual Community Overall Care System Grade A Unit Plan," the "125°C Care Corner" was initiated to provide long-term care service consultation, ensuring long-term care services are accessible, visible, and usable, as well as providing comprehensive companionship and care services. It combines a multi-faceted aesthetic recreational living space and regularly holds community care activities, lectures, and gatherings catering to various service targets. It serves as a resource connection and exchange platform for professional care service providers in the region.
