Shoe Museum Introduction
Once, Taiwan had thousands of shoe factories and tens of thousands of industry workers. The craftsmanship of shoemakers wove a glorious legacy for Taiwan's shoemaking kingdom. In response to labor costs and international development trends, the Taiwanese shoe industry has shifted towards globalization. The initial mission of the Shoe Technology Center was to assist the Taiwanese shoe industry in its transformation and upgrading, moving towards technological research and development and creative value addition, enhancing Taiwan's competitiveness on the world stage. For many years, the Shoe Technology Center has focused on the shoe industry, starting from shoe technology and integrating "human-centered" care and thought. By applying aesthetic design, shoes have adopted more fashionable styles, incorporating podiatric medicine and technology, helping more people find their own comfortable footwear. Our goal is to encourage people to move, to move well, and to move faster. Now, we are dedicated to cultivating and promoting talent for the cultural heritage of the Taiwanese shoe industry with passion, diligence, and sincerity, aiming to let more people understand Taiwan's shoe industry and infuse the industry with the energy of tourism factories. We have established the "Shoe Treasure Tourism Factory," the only one in the country that focuses on traditional Taiwanese shoemaking while integrating modern high-tech innovative design and research development, providing a joyful space for education, tourism, and recreation.
