Dianhuajun Ecological Trail Introduction
The "Electric Fire" means electric light in both Hakka and Taiwanese languages. The Shigang Electric Fire Canal, which has a history of over a hundred years, began operation and power generation in 1922. At that time, in order to ensure that every household in Shigang could have bright lights, Taiwan Power Company manually excavated the electric fire canal, introducing water from the Babao Canal to provide hydropower for the She-Liao-Jiao Power Plant. The area surrounding the electric fire canal not only boasts rich biodiversity but also offers a cool and comfortable walking experience under the shade of lush green leaves, with a total trail length of 2.5 kilometers.
