The intersection of Section 7 of Taichung Boulevard and Provincial Route 10 (Sanmin Road) is a crucial route connecting Shalu District to Taichung Port, Central Taiwan International Airport, National Freeway No. 2, and National Freeway No. 1. During peak hours, the traffic flow at this intersection is quite high. Considering the traffic safety of students commuting to and from Zhulin Elementary School and Shalu High School nearby, a pedestrian bridge was constructed, completed in December 2007, ensuring safer commutes for the students of Zhulin Elementary School and Shalu High School.

Shalu Wing Introduction

Shalu Wing, a pedestrian bridge spanning Section 7 of Taiwan Boulevard, became a new attraction in the Shalu area after its completion in 2007. It has also become a popular spot for many photography enthusiasts. The bridge, shaped like a large "S," resembles a lucky white dragon lying across Taiwan Boulevard during the day, guarding the people traveling between Taichung City and Shalu. At night, the bridge and the colorful LED lights on the steel cables flicker, intertwining with the headlights of passing vehicles to create a dynamic visual masterpiece.
