The intersection of Section 7 of Taiwan Boulevard and Provincial Highway 10 (Sanmin Road) is a crucial route connecting Shanlu District to Taichung Port, Central Taiwan International Airport, the Second Highway, and the National Highway 1. The traffic flow at this intersection during peak hours is quite high. In consideration of the traffic safety for students commuting to and from Zhulin Elementary School and Shanlu Vocational High School nearby, a pedestrian bridge was constructed, which was completed in December 2007, enhancing the safety of student traffic for Zhulin Elementary School and Shanlu Vocational High School.

Shalu Wing Introduction

The pedestrian bridge named "Sha Lu Wing," which spans Section 7 of Taiwan Boulevard, became a new attraction in the Sha Lu area after its completion in 2007. It has since become a popular spot for many photography enthusiasts. This S-shaped pedestrian bridge resembles a lucky white dragon lying across Taiwan Boulevard during the day, protecting the people traveling between Taichung City and Sha Lu. At night, the bridge and its steel cables are illuminated by colorful LED lights, creating a dynamic interplay with the headlights of passing vehicles, forming a living artwork.
