Dongshi Forest Recreation Area Introduction
Dongshi Forest Recreation Area is located by the Daan River in Dongshi District, Taichung City, at an elevation of 500-700 meters, with an average temperature between 20-25 degrees Celsius. The pleasant climate makes it an excellent destination for vacation and relaxation. The forest area is only eight kilometers from Dongshi district, accessible via Shilin Street connecting from the north and south, with just a 30-minute drive along National Highway 4. There are also Fengyuan Bus services available, making it quite convenient. Throughout the year, Dongshi Forest Recreation Area offers an endless display of flowers: cherry blossoms in spring, tung flowers in summer, maple leaves in autumn, and plum blossoms in winter, including various types such as plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, azaleas, tung flowers, crape myrtles, poinsettias, and maple leaves, creating a vibrant floral world worth appreciating.
