Songyuan Farm Introduction
Zhuolan is known as the "Fruit Kingdom" of Taiwan, and "Songyuan Farm" is located in the southeastern part of Zhuolan Township, in Neiwang Village. The farm mainly produces grapes and starfruit, and offers a variety of grape and starfruit processed products for sale. The cultivation of fruit relies heavily on climate and soil; Songyuan Farm is situated in Dongsheng, where the temperature difference between day and night is significant, naturally increasing the sweetness of the fruits. Additionally, the farm practices natural cultivation with step-by-step cultivation procedures and benefits from the pure water quality of the Daan River, resulting in consistent quality grapes and starfruit that are plump, sweet, juicy, and beautifully shaped. Songyuan employs natural farming methods, which, despite having higher technical and cost barriers, are deemed worth the effort for the health of consumers and the ecological balance of the land. To implement organic cultivation, the fruits are bagged during the early growth stage, and no pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used during their growth; instead, natural organic fertilizers are applied, allowing for the grapes and starfruit to be harvested and enjoyed on the spot without concerns about pesticide residues and pollution. The starfruit season is from October to New Year’s Day of the following year or from January to March, while the grape season is from January to March and July to September.
