Songyuan Farm Introduction
Zhuolan is renowned for being the "Fruit Kingdom" of Taiwan. Located in Neiwang Village, southeast of Zhuolan Township, Songyuan Farm mainly produces grapes and star fruits, and offers various related processed products for sale. The quality of fruits relies heavily on climate and soil; the unique climate in Dongsheng, where the farm is located, has significant temperature differences between day and night, naturally enhancing the sweetness of the fruits. Moreover, the farm has been practicing natural cultivation for many years, following step-by-step cultivation procedures, along with the pure water from the Da'an River, which results in grapes and star fruits that are stable in quality, plump, sweet, and juicy, with beautiful fruit shapes. Songyuan Farm adopts natural farming methods. Although it comes with higher technical and cost barriers, this effort is absolutely worthwhile for consumer health and ecological balance. To implement organic farming, the fruits are bagged during their juvenile stage, and no pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used during their growth period. Instead, natural organic fertilizers are applied, allowing the grapes and star fruits to be consumed immediately after harvest without concerns about pesticide residues or pollution. The star fruit harvest season is from October to New Year's Day or from January to March, while the grape harvest is from January to March and July to September.
