Gonglaoping Introduction
Gonglaoping is a place that the people of Fengyuan take pride in for its expansive scenic views. It is also a perfect dating spot for young couples to hike and enjoy the scenery. The landscape restaurants and cafes built along the mountainside, as well as Qiaotong Memorial Park, offer stunning views of Taichung's beautiful nightscape. Situated at an altitude of less than 500 meters, Gonglaoping is named after a wise man named Xu Gonglao who led the local people in the area’s development. In the evening, climbing up the mountain allows visitors to witness the blue sky gradually turning into a fish belly white, with the sunset casting a gradient of orange, yellow, and green colors before finally transitioning to deep blue, as thousands of lights twinkle in the night sky.
