Gonglaoping Introduction
Fengyuan people take pride in Gonglaoping, known for its expansive scenic views, which is also a perfect dating spot for couples to hike and enjoy the scenery. Scenic restaurants and cafes built along the mountains, as well as the Qifeng Jia Memorial Park, allow visitors to admire the stunning night view of Taichung. Located at an elevation of less than 500 meters, Gonglaoping is said to be named after a sage named Xu Gonglao, who led the locals in the development of the area. Hiking in the evening, one can witness the blue sky gradually transition to a fish belly white, with the sunset painting a large canvas of orange, yellow, and green gradients, finally turning to deep blue as countless lights illuminate the night sky.
