Nanshi Senior High School Red Building and Small Auditorium (Former Tainan State Second High School Main Building and Auditorium) Introduction
Completed between 1928 and 1931, it is considered the most beautiful historical building on the campus of Nanya Senior High School. The auditorium was designed and overseen by the Construction Section of the Taiwan Governor-General's Office, adopting a rare Romanesque architectural style, giving its exterior a grandeur reminiscent of European churches, with intricately designed columns and decorations that exude a strong academic style. The L-shaped part of the building was designed by the Tainan Prefectural Construction Section and is referred to as the "Red Building" by the teachers and students of Nanya Senior High School. Both historical buildings symbolize the spirit of the school and remain cherished memories for students and alumni.
