Yanping Jun Wang Temple Introduction
At the intersection of Kaishan Road and Fuchien Road, the stone sculpture of King Yanping on horseback always looks majestic, as if it is the guardian deity of Tainan City in everyone's hearts. The Yanping County King Temple is a red Fuzhou-style building with some Japanese influences, attracting many tourists every day. Passing through the San Chuan Gate with the inscription "Unprecedented," the temple's four entrances are adorned with paintings of eight door gods. Upon closer inspection, they all have blue eyes and white skin, representing foreigners dressed in Ming dynasty official robes, honoring Koxinga for driving out the Dutch and continuing to guard the temple's entrance, creating an interesting scene.
