Anping Old Street (Yanping Old Street) Introduction
Anping Old Street is a street established by the Dutch in Anping. The early design of the street was intended for pedestrians and push carts, so the layout is not very wide. Many tourists inevitably visit this ancient street when they come to Anping, and the bustling crowds are a common sight in Anping Old Street; it seems that it wouldn't be Anping Old Street without this lively atmosphere. The street is lined with various old shops, and both domestic and international visitors frequently wander through, searching for treasures. Occasionally, you may look up and spot a few lion statues perched on rooftops or the sword lions above door lintels, which add to the enjoyment of strolling through Anping Old Street. There are also many small paths weaving through different parts of Anping; each path offers a unique view. Among them are Jasmine Lane and Rouge Lane, and the area retains many old settlements. Walking through the tranquil alleys feels like a journey back in time, and the intricate little lanes give a sense of adventure. It would be a great pity to visit Anping Old Street without exploring these alleys.
