Nanwan Pier Recreational Area Introduction
Located at the southern end of Qigu Lagoon, Nanwan Pier is an excellent spot to enjoy the mangrove scenery and catch a glimpse of Wangzailiao Sand. The pier features a viewing platform and a visitor service center, and it is also a key departure point for bamboo raft tours of the lagoon. Visitors can take a boat to Wangzailiao Sand or Dingtouyue Sand, where they can admire the diverse ecosystem of the lagoon, including tidepool crabs, water birds, and mangroves. In addition to the breathtaking views of the lagoon, oyster farms, and sandbars, some areas of the lagoon have shallow waters that reach only up to the knees, allowing the rafts to occasionally run aground. At this time, passengers can disembark onto the beach to look for shells and observe tidepool crabs, embarking on an ecological journey through Qigu Lagoon. The entire trip takes about two hours, resembling a real-life natural classroom. As dusk approaches, small animals return to their nests, and the return journey on the bamboo raft glides smoothly across the tranquil waters, where the twinkling reflections make it a memorable experience.
