Tianliao Cold Spring Area (Tianliao Flower Season Resort Hotel) Introduction
The history of Tianliao Cold Spring is quite long. In the early days, the soil in Tianliao District was barren, and there was a lack of water sources. The local residents discovered a cold spring gushing from the rock crevices, leading them to settle near the water. They utilized the cold spring for living and irrigation, making this precious carbonated cold spring the source of life for the Tianliao District. After the Japanese army stationed in Taiwan, they discovered this rare carbonated cold spring and even established a police sanatorium in the area, forming a bubble bath culture. Tianliao Cold Spring is a naturally occurring sodium bicarbonate spring with a pH value of 7 and an average water temperature of 22 degrees Celsius. The water is clear, colorless, and has a slight sulfur smell, characteristic of low-temperature hot springs. During the Japanese colonial period, people began to bathe in the spring after heating the water. Due to its pure and gentle quality, it is known as the "beauty skin bath" and is the only cold spring area in southern Taiwan.
