Qianzhen Star Introduction
The Qianzhen Star, located at the intersection of Zhongshan Fourth Road and Kaohsiung Fourth Road, is a multifunctional bicycle bridge. Due to the complex traffic flow and large volume of vehicles at this intersection, crossing the road can be fraught with danger for pedestrians. The establishment of the bicycle lane not only enhances the safety of pedestrians and vehicles but also connects the LinGang Line bicycle path, Qianzhen River bicycle path, and Fengshan River bicycle path system, forming a complete bicycle network that promotes energy conservation and reduced carbon emissions. The Qianzhen Star Bridge is 5 meters wide, with separate pathways for pedestrians and bicycles. Structurally, it features arched steel beams extending in all directions, complemented by a curved shade canopy that creates a multi-layered aesthetic while softening the harsh landscape of the city. The design of the intersection mimics the shape of tree trunks and includes an aerial garden, establishing a landmark focus for the urban environment and creating a relaxing center for pedestrians and cyclists to pause, surrounded by natural scenery, with the opportunity to enjoy the street views. At night, the entry ramp and the bridge itself are illuminated with different colors and layers of light, enhancing safety for users and creating a vibrant new landmark for Qianzhen.
