Creative Space - R7 Shijia Station Introduction
Kaohsiung, with its advantageous harbor, has exceptional external economic and trade benefits. In recent years, in response to changes in industrial patterns, the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has collaborated with the city government to establish the "R7 Creative Space." This space focuses on three main pillars: "design," "life," and "education," aiming to connect and support the domestic textile and design industries while establishing an interactive platform with consumers, moving towards nurturing local designer brands. The R7 Creative Space is located on the first floor of the Shijia Cultural Center in Labor Park, near exit 3 of the R7 Shijia MRT Station. The exhibition area of the R7 Creative Space features an open design that can be adjusted according to different display types. The high space creates a creative and fashionable atmosphere with black backgrounds and natural wood materials. The venue includes an exhibition area showcasing works by local designers, with five designers currently in residence, allowing the public to engage in dialogue with designers, observe, or participate in the design process, creating unique pieces from scratch. When tired, numerous light meal and coffee shops in the exhibition space provide leisure corners, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a refreshing creative atmosphere and feel enriched.
