Creative Arts Center - R7 Shijia Station Introduction
Kaohsiung possesses unique advantages in external economic trade due to its natural harbor. In recent years, in response to changes in industrial patterns, the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has collaborated with the city government to establish the "R7 Creative Zone," focusing on three main pillars: "Design," "Life," and "Education." This initiative aims to connect and support the domestic textile and design industries while creating an interactive platform with consumers, moving towards fostering local designer brands. The R7 Creative Zone is located on the first floor of the Shijia Clubhouse in Labor Park, near Exit 3 of the R7 Shijia Metro Station. The exhibition area of the R7 Creative Zone is designed without partitions, allowing it to adapt to different display styles. The spacious interior features a black backdrop and natural wood materials, creating a creative and fashionable ambiance. The venue showcases the works of local designers, currently hosting five resident designers, allowing the public to engage with designers up close, observe, or participate in the design process, creating unique artworks from scratch. After exploring, visitors can relax in the various light meal and coffee shops within the exhibition space, immersing themselves in a refreshing creative atmosphere that enriches the mind.
