Cultural and Creative Park - R7 Shijia Station Introduction
Kaohsiung has a unique geographical advantage for international economic and trade activities due to its harbor. In recent years, to respond to changes in industry types, the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has collaborated with the city government to establish "R7 Creative Space," focusing on three main pillars: "Design," "Life," and "Education." This initiative aims to connect and assist the domestic textile and design industries, as well as create an interactive platform with consumers to cultivate local designer brands. R7 Creative Space is located on the first floor of the Shijia Hall in Labor Park, near Exit 3 of the R7 Shijia MRT Station. The exhibition area of R7 Creative Space is designed without partitions, allowing for adaptability to different display types. The high ceiling space features a black background and wooden materials, creating a stylish and creative atmosphere. The venue includes a showcase area for local designers' works, currently housing five resident designers, allowing the public to engage closely with the designers, observe, or participate in the design process to create unique pieces from scratch. After exploring, visitors can relax in various cafes offering light meals and enjoy the refreshing creative ambiance.
