Kaohsiung Mosque Introduction
Kaohsiung Mosque is the second mosque in Taiwan, established in 1949 by Muslim personnel from the military, government, and education sectors who followed the government to Taiwan and practiced Islam. Due to the increasing number of worshippers, construction began in 1990 to expand to its current scale. The exterior of Kaohsiung Mosque features a typical Islamic architectural style, with a fresh green square structure, a dome, and a minaret. The interior includes a spacious and bright prayer hall, making it the largest Islamic faith center in southern Taiwan.
