Kaohsiung Mosque Introduction
Kaohsiung Mosque is the second mosque in Taiwan, founded in 1949 by Muslim personnel from the military, government, and education sectors who migrated to Taiwan with the government. It was established through fundraising efforts due to the increasing number of worshippers. In 1990, construction began on the current scale because the original facilities were insufficient. The exterior of Kaohsiung Mosque features a typical Islamic architectural style, with a fresh green square building, a dome with a pointed top, and a minaret. Inside, it has a spacious and bright prayer hall, making it the largest center for Islamic faith in southern Taiwan.
