Kaohsiung Mosque Introduction
Kaohsiung Mosque is the second mosque in Taiwan, established in 1949 by Muslims who were military, government, and educational personnel that relocated with the government to Taiwan. Due to the growing number of worshippers, construction began in 1990 to expand to the current scale. The exterior of Kaohsiung Mosque exhibits typical Islamic architectural style, featuring a fresh green square building with a dome and a minaret. Inside, there is a spacious and bright prayer hall, making it the largest center of Islamic faith in southern Taiwan.
