Kaohsiung Mosque Introduction

Kaohsiung Mosque is the second mosque in Taiwan, established in 1949. It was initiated by Muslims, including military, government, and educational personnel who relocated with the government to Taiwan and were devoted followers of Islam. Due to the increasing number of worshippers, construction began in 1990 to expand to the current scale. The exterior of Kaohsiung Mosque features a typical Islamic architectural style, with a fresh green square building, a round dome, and a minaret. The interior includes a spacious and bright prayer hall, making it the largest center for Islamic faith in southern Taiwan.
