Fengshan County's Xincheng originally had six city gates and six fortifications, but currently, only one city gate (East Convenience Gate) and three fortifications (Chenglan, Hengxing, and Xunfeng) remain, which are all designated as municipal historic sites known as "Fengshan County Castle Ruins." The Chenglan Fort is located at the intersection of Lizhi Street and Fuxing Street in Fengshan District (behind Fengshan Elementary School), positioned at the southwest corner of the county city. It is an irregular octagonal fortification, and its side walls clearly show several "gun holes" (larger inside and smaller outside) for long guns. From the top of the fort, there is a wide view overlooking the moat.
