Fengshan County's Xincheng originally had six city gates and six fortifications, but currently, only one city gate (the East Convenience Gate) and three fortifications (Chenglan, Heisei, and Xunfeng) remain, all designated as city-designated historical sites known as "Fengshan County City Ruins." The Chenglan Fort is located at the intersection of Lizhi Street and Fuxing Street in Fengshan District (behind Fengshan Elementary School), situated in the southwest corner of the county city. It is an irregular octagonal fort, and on either side of the fort's wing walls, several "gun holes" (larger on the inside and smaller on the outside) for rifle shooting can still be clearly seen. From the fort, the view overlooking the moat is expansive.
