Chenglan Fort Introduction
The old city of Fengshan County originally had six city gates and six fortifications, but currently only one city gate (Dongbian Gate) and three fortifications (Chenglan, Heisei, and Xunfeng) remain. All of these have been designated as city historic sites known as "Remnants of Fengshan County City." The Chenglan Fort is located at the intersection of Lizhi Street and Fuxing Street in Fengshan District (behind Fengshan Elementary School), situated at the southwestern corner of the county city. It is an irregular octagonal fort, with several shooting slits for long guns (large on the inside and small on the outside) clearly visible on the side walls of the fort. From the fort, there is a broad view overlooking the moat.
