Fengshan County's Xincheng originally had six city gates and six forts, but currently, only one city gate (Dongbianmen) and three forts (Chenglan, Peace, and Xunfeng) remain. They have all been designated as city historical sites known as "Fengshan County City Ruins." Chenglan Fort is located at the intersection of Lichi Street and Fuxing Street in Fengshan District (behind Fengshan Elementary School). It is situated in the southwest corner of the county city and is an irregular octagonal fort. On both sides of the fort's wing walls, several gun holes (larger on the inside and smaller on the outside) for long guns can still be clearly seen. From the fort looking out over the moat, the view is expansive.

Chenglan Fort Introduction

Fengshan County's Xincheng originally had six city gates and six fortifications, but currently only one city gate (East Bian Gate) and three fortifications (Chenglan, Hoshin, and Xunfeng) remain. These are designated as the city-designated historic site "Remains of Fengshan County City." The Chenglan Fort is located at the intersection of Lizhi Street and Fuxing Street in Fengshan District (behind Fengshan Elementary School), situated in the southwest corner of the county city. It is an irregular octagonal fortification, and the two side wings of the fortification clearly show several "gun holes" (large inside and small outside) for long guns. The view from the fort overlooks the moat, providing a broad vista.
