Chenglan Fort Introduction
Fengshan County's Xincheng originally had six city gates and six fortresses, but currently only one city gate (Dongbianmen) and three fortresses (Chenglan, Heise, Xunfeng) remain, all of which have been designated as a city heritage site known as "Fengshan County City Ruins." The Chenglan Fortress is located at the intersection of Lizhi Street and Fuxing Street in Fengshan District (behind Fengshan Elementary School), positioned at the southwestern corner of the county city. It is an irregular octagonal fortress, and on both sides of the fortress wall, several "gun holes" (large inside and small outside) for shooting long guns can still be clearly seen. The view from the fortress overlooking the moat is expansive.
