Chenglan Fort Introduction
Fengshan County's Xincheng originally had six city gates and six forts, but currently only one city gate (Dongbianmen) and three forts (Chenglian, Heisei, Xunfeng) remain, all of which are designated as city monuments known as "Fengshan County City Ruins". The Chenglian Fort is located at the intersection of Lizhi Street and Fuxing Street in Fengshan District (behind Fengshan Elementary School), situated in the southwestern corner of the county city. It is an irregular octagonal fort, and on both sides of the fort's wing walls, several "gun holes" (large inside and small outside) for long guns can be clearly seen. The view from the fort overlooking the moat is expansive.
