Daliao Bao Gong Temple Introduction

Founded in 1969, this is currently the largest temple in Taiwan dedicated to the worship of Lord Bao (Bao Gong) as the main deity. The three-hall structure showcases the Kaifeng Palace, which enshrines the black-faced Bao Gong, as well as the so-called "tattooed Bao Gong," referencing Bao Zheng himself. The architecture is grand in scale, with the front hall serving as the main hall for Bao Gong, the middle hall as the Five Buddhas Hall, and the third hall as the Jade Emperor Hall. In front of the temple stands a pair of giant golden lions, exuding a majestic aura. This temple is also a center of faith for the local residents of Daliao, and for visitors, Bao Gong Temple is quite rare. It is recommended to allocate time to visit this temple when traveling in Daliao District.
