Daliao Bao Gong Temple Introduction

Established in 1969, it is currently the largest temple in Taiwan dedicated to the worship of Bao Gong as the main deity. The temple, named Kaifeng Palace, is built in honor of the black-faced Bao Gong and the so-called "Tattooed Bao Gong," referring to Bao Zheng himself. The architecture is quite grand, with the front hall serving as the main hall for Bao Gong, the middle hall as the Five Buddhas Hall, and the third hall as the Jade Emperor Hall. In front of the temple, there is a pair of giant golden lions, creating an imposing atmosphere. This temple is also a center of faith for the local residents of Daliao, and for tourists, the Bao Gong Temple is quite unique. It is recommended to set aside time to visit this temple when exploring the Daliao District.
