Daliao Bao Gong Temple Introduction

Established in 1969, this is the largest temple in Taiwan dedicated to the worship of Judge Bao (Bao Gong) as the main deity. The Kaifeng Palace, which was built with three halls, enshrines the black-faced Bao Gong and the so-called "tattooed Bao Gong," which refers to Bao Zheng himself. The architecture is grand in scale, with the front hall serving as the main hall for Bao Gong, the middle hall as the Hall of the Five Buddhas, and the third as the Hall of the Jade Emperor. In front of the temple stands a pair of magnificent golden lions, exuding a majestic presence. This temple also serves as a center of faith for the local residents of Daliao, and for tourists, it is quite unique. If you are visiting the Daliao District, it is recommended to set aside time to explore this temple.
