The remnants of the Qing Dynasty Fengshan County City can be found within the urban area of Fengshan District. To distinguish it from the old city of Zuoying in Kaohsiung City, the county city of Fengshan is referred to as "New City." Among the remains of New City, the only preserved original gate is the Dongbianmen, along with the Dongf bridge that crosses the Fengshan River.
