Gourd Carving Art Museum Introduction
Gourd, also known as "huzi," is a common agricultural product in Taiwan's rural areas. Its cute and exquisite appearance makes it irresistible. In the 1990s, the Sanlin District promoted gourd art creation, which has become a local characteristic of Sanlin. Teacher He Ming-hsien is dedicated to gourd art, investing a substantial amount of effort in research, constantly challenging and innovating. He further established the Sanlin Gourd Art Exhibition Hall, which introduces various gourd carving techniques and displays students' works. The Gourd Art Museum continues to disrupt traditional perceptions by offering a series rich in literary flavor, including Tang and Song poetry, high-end souvenirs, and practical items like night lights, pendants, and keychains. It also provides gourd tours, classes, and DIY experiences, making gourd art creation more diverse and varied.
