Shanlin Bridge Introduction

Shanlin Bridge is located on the Nanzi River section of Highway 129, serving as a major transportation route between Shanlin and Jiasian, parallel to Highway 29. The bridge was opened at the end of 2013, replacing an old bridge that was damaged during Typhoon Morakot, significantly reducing travel time across the Nanzi River. With a span of 370 meters and a width of 9 meters, the total length including the approach is 1,180 meters. It is a double-arch steel bridge without piers, characterized by its white steel arch structure that spans the Nanzi River, with its gentle curves harmonizing with the valley, distant mountains, and the rural streets of Shanlin, making it the most beautiful scenic bridge in the Shanlin District.
