Shanlin Bridge Introduction
Shanlin Bridge is located on the Nanzi River section of Highway 129, parallel to Highway 29, serving as a major transportation route between Shanlin and Jiasian. The bridge was opened at the end of 2013, replacing the old bridge that was damaged in the Morakot typhoon, significantly reducing travel time between the two sides of the Nanzi River. The Shanlin Bridge spans 370 meters and is 9 meters wide, with an overall length of 1,180 meters including the access road. It is a no-pier double-arch steel arch bridge, featuring a white steel arch structure that gracefully spans the Nanzi River, harmonizing beautifully with the valley, distant mountains, and rural streets of Shanlin, making it the most picturesque bridge in the Shanlin District.
