Shanlin Bridge Introduction

Shanlin Bridge is located on the Nanzi Stream section of Highway 129 and serves as a major transportation route between Shanlin and Jiaxian, alongside Highway 29. The bridge was opened at the end of 2013, replacing the old bridge that was damaged during Typhoon Morakot, significantly reducing travel time across the Nanzi Stream. The Shanlin Bridge has a main span of 370 meters and a width of 9 meters, with a total length of 1,180 meters including its approach. It is a no-pylon double-arch steel bridge, featuring a white steel arch structure that spans the Nanzi Stream. Its gentle curves harmonize with the valley, distant mountains, and the rural streets of Shanlin, making it the most beautiful scenic bridge in the Shanlin District.
