Shanlin Bridge Introduction
Shanlin Bridge is located on the Nanzi River section of County Highway 129, serving as one of the two major transportation routes between Shanlin and Jiasian alongside Provincial Highway 29. The bridge was opened at the end of 2013, replacing an old bridge that was damaged during Typhoon Morakot, significantly reducing travel time between the two banks of the Nanzi River. The Shanlin Bridge has a main span of 370 meters and a width of 9 meters, with a total length of 1,180 meters including the approach. It is a no-pier, double-arch steel bridge, featuring a white steel arch that spans the Nanzi River. Its gentle curves harmonize with the valley, distant mountains, and the rural streets of Shanlin, making it the most beautiful scenic bridge in the Shanlin District.
