Shanlin Bridge Introduction
The Shanlin Bridge is located on the Nanzi Creek section of Highway 129, serving as one of the two major traffic arteries between Shanlin and Jiasian alongside Highway 29. The Shanlin Bridge was opened at the end of 2013, replacing the old bridge that was damaged during Typhoon Morakot, significantly reducing travel time across the Nanzi Creek. The bridge has a span of 370 meters and is 9 meters wide, with an overall length of 1,180 meters including the approach roads. It is a double-arch steel bridge with no supporting piers, featuring a white steel arch structure that spans Nanzi Creek. Its gentle curves harmoniously complement the canyon, distant mountains, and rural streets of Shanlin, making it the most beautiful scenic bridge in the Shanlin District.
