Mu Zha Suspension Bridge & Mu Zha Church Introduction

Neimen Muzha is the ancestral land of the Siraya people, established in 1868 with the Muzha Church serving as the faith center and the third oldest Christian church in Taiwan. In 1871, British photographer John Thomson traveled in southern Taiwan at the invitation of Dr. Ma Yajiao, during which he captured several dozen photos of Muzha Church, creating invaluable images in Taiwan's history. Today, Muzha Church has undergone multiple reconstructions, and the pristine white church still stands tall amidst the blue sky and mountains, guiding generations of Muzha residents. Located on the hillside near Muzha Church, the 200-meter-long Muzha Suspension Bridge is a distinctive site along the Shicuo Hiking Trail. From a distance, it appears like a silver thread between two mountain peaks, allowing visitors to walk on the bridge surrounded by lush greenery and enjoy the beautiful mountain forest ahead.
