Muza Suspension Bridge & Muza Church Introduction

Neimen Mukeng is the ancestral home of the Siraya people, founded on the Mukeng Church established in 1868, which serves as the center of faith in the area and is the third oldest Christian church in Taiwan. In 1871, British photographer John Thomson, invited by Dr. Ma Ya-Jia, traveled to southern Taiwan for several days, during which he took dozens of photos of Mukeng Church, resulting in extremely valuable images in Taiwan's history. Today, Mukeng Church has undergone multiple reconstructions, and the pure white church continues to stand tall amidst the blue sky and majestic mountains, guiding generations of Mukeng residents. Located on the hillside near Mukeng Church, the Mukeng Suspension Bridge stretches about 200 meters and is a notable attraction along the Shicuo Hiking Trail. Viewed from a distance, it resembles a silver thread between two mountain peaks, allowing visitors to walk on the suspension bridge surrounded by greenery and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery.
