Mu Zha Suspension Bridge & Mu Zha Church Introduction
Neimen Muzha is the ancestral home of the Siraya people, centered around the Muzha Church established in 1868, which serves as a faith hub and is the third oldest Christian church in Taiwan. In 1871, British photographer John Thomson, invited by Dr. Ma, traveled in southern Taiwan for several days and took dozens of photos of the Muzha Church, creating a valuable historical record in Taiwan. Today, the Muzha Church has undergone multiple reconstructions, and the pure white church continues to stand tall amidst the blue skies and towering mountains, guiding generations of Muzha residents. Located on the hillside near Muzha Church, the 200-meter-long Muzha Suspension Bridge is a unique attraction along the Shicuo Hiking Trail; from a distance, it appears as a silver thread between two mountain peaks. Walking on the suspension bridge surrounded by greenery allows visitors to enjoy the beautiful mountains and forests before them.
