Mu Zha Suspension Bridge & Mu Zha Church Introduction

Neimen Muzha is the ancestral home of the Siraya people. It is anchored by the Muzha Church, established in 1868, which serves as the faith center of the area and is the third oldest Christian church in Taiwan. In 1871, British photographer John Thomson was invited by Dr. Jacob M. to travel in southern Taiwan for several days, during which he took dozens of photographs of the Muzha Church, creating invaluable images in Taiwan's history. Today, the Muzha Church has undergone several reconstructions, and the pure white church continues to stand tall amidst the blue sky and rugged mountains, guiding generations of Muzha residents. Located on the mountainside near Muzha Church, the Muzha Suspension Bridge, approximately 200 meters long, is a featured spot along the Shicuo Hiking Trail. From a distance, it resembles a silver thread between two mountain tops. Walking on the suspension bridge surrounded by greenery, one can enjoy the beautiful mountains and forests before them.
