Huoyan Mountain South Saddle Ancient Road Introduction
Fire Mountain is a rare badlands landscape in Taiwan, characterized by exposed rock layers and sparse vegetation. The crimson cliffs resemble a scene from another planet, and from a distance, it looks like fierce flames are burning, giving the impression of entering a "moon world." This has earned it the nickname of the "Taiwanese Grand Canyon." Fire Mountain stands at an elevation of 602 meters, with trails mostly consisting of dirt and stone steps. The path is predominantly uphill, but is mostly shaded by trees, making the hike cool and comfortable. However, some sections are narrow and steep, and given the area's seismic vulnerability, one can experience the feeling of "walking on a cliff" with a sense of thrill.
