Eagle Watching Trail (Rulankeng Trail) Introduction
The Eagle Watching Trail is the best eagle watching spot in Ba Gua Mountain, accessible through the entrance sign beside County Road 139. The trail is 1.05 kilometers long. Every year from March to April, the Grey-faced Buzzard migrates back north, passing through Ba Gua Mountain, allowing visitors to observe the eagles' soaring and descending at the eagle watching platform, which is the best season for eagle watching in Ba Gua Mountain. Besides watching the Grey-faced Buzzards in spring, visitors can also see local birds throughout the year, such as the Crested Serpent Eagle, Great Egret, Taiwan Whistling Thrush, White-browed Bush Robin, and Taiwan Yuhina. Along the trail, various information boards introduce the avian resources of Ba Gua Mountain.
