Eagle Watching Trail (Luoshan Keng Trail) Introduction
The Eagle Watching Trail is the best location for eagle watching in Bagua Mountain. It can be accessed via an entrance sign located next to HuGang Road (County Road 139), and the trail is 1.05 kilometers long. Every year in March and April, the Grey-faced Buzzard migrates northward and passes through Bagua Mountain, providing an opportunity to observe the eagles taking off and landing at the eagle watching platform—this is the best season for eagle watching in Bagua Mountain. In addition to the spring sightings of the Grey-faced Buzzard, various local birds can also be observed throughout the year, including the Chinese Sparrowhawk, Great Egret, Eurasian Wren, Black-faced Bunting, and Green-backed Tit. Along the trail, informational signs are installed to introduce the bird resources of Bagua Mountain. Outside of the eagle watching season, visitors can enjoy a distant view from the eagle watching platform, with beautiful sunsets providing a breathtaking sight during the evening.
