Eagle Watching Trail (Lushan River Trail) Introduction
The Eagle Watching Trail is the best spot for eagle watching on Baguashan, accessible via the entrance sign next to Hugang Road (County Road 139). The trail is 1.05 kilometers long. Every year from March to April, the gray-faced buzzard travels northward back from its wintering grounds, passing through Baguashan. The eagle watching platform allows visitors to observe eagles soaring and descending, making it the best season for eagle watching in Baguashan. In addition to observing the gray-faced buzzard in spring, visitors can also see local bird species year-round, such as the crested serpent eagle, great egret, Siberian beauty, white-browed laughingthrush, and the green-backed tit. The trail features various information boards introducing the bird resources of Baguashan. Outside of eagle watching season, the platform offers a distant view, where visitors can enjoy the beautiful sunset glow during twilight. Trail length: 1.05 kilometers. Walking time: 0.5 hours.
