Bishan Ancient Trail Introduction
Bishan Ancient Path and Tiaoshui Ancient Path run parallel to each other. Before entering the Bishan Ancient Path, one must first walk a section of the Tiaoshui Ancient Path before turning onto the Bishan Ancient Path. The starting point of the Bishan Ancient Path has a steep slope, so caution is advised while walking. The Tiaoshui Ancient Path follows the mountain stream, while the Bishan Ancient Path runs along the mountain ridge, creating a loop trail with one high and one low path. The starting point of the Bishan Ancient Path is a dirt and stone path, while the latter section is an agricultural access road. Surrounding it are longan, lychee, pomelo, jackfruit, lemon, and natural forests. In some areas, one can gaze into the distance at the highway. In the middle of the trail, there is a stone staircase called "Tian Ti" connecting the two ancient paths, but it is steep and difficult to traverse, passing through dense lychee and longan groves. At the fork, one can turn towards the Donglong Temple, then connect to County Road 139 via Lane 672 of Dazhang Road. The fork also leads to a rest platform, from which wooden stairs connect to the Tiaoshui Ancient Path. Trail length: 2.04 kilometers. Walking time: 1.5 hours. Facilities: Rest platform, benches, portable toilets, signboards, parking lots (for motorcycles and small cars).
