Sun Moon Lake - Yuetan Bike Path Introduction
Starting from Hsuan Guang Temple, the bicycle path stretches approximately 4 kilometers through the Huan Tan No. 1 Tunnel to the Ming Tan Water Outlet, specifically designed for cyclists. This winding path along the southern bank of Yuetan features rich and varied ecology and forests. Along the way, cyclists can enjoy a southern view of the Touse Basin and a northern view of the Qinglong Mountain Range, making it an excellent choice for a leisurely ride. Particularly, the view of the Touse Basin from this vantage point offers a panoramic perspective, where fields and houses are arranged like a chessboard, reminiscent of the idyllic paradise described by Tao Yuanming.
