Sun Moon Lake - Yuetan Bike Path Introduction
Starting from Xuanguang Temple, the 4-kilometer route through the Huan Tan No. 1 Tunnel to the Ming Tan Water Outlet is a bike path designed specifically for cyclists. This winding trail along the southern shore of Yuetan features rich and varied ecology and forest scenery. Along the way, one can gaze south at the Toushe Basin and north towards the Qingshui Mountain Range, making it an excellent choice for cyclists seeking freedom and relaxation. In particular, the viewpoint here overlooks the Toushe Basin, providing a high perspective where the fields and houses are arranged like a chessboard, reminiscent of the idyllic scenes described by Tao Yuanming in his writings.
