Sun Moon Lake - Yuantan Bicycle Path Introduction
Starting from Xuanguang Temple, the approximately 4-kilometer section of the cycling path, which is designed specifically for cyclists, goes through Huan Tan No. 1 Tunnel to the outlet of Ming Lake. This winding path along the southern bank of Moon Lake is rich and varied in ecology and forestry. Along the way, one can look south towards the Toushe Basin and north towards the Qinglong Mountain Range, making it an excellent choice for leisurely cycling. Especially from this vantage point, overlooking the Toushe Basin, the fields and houses arranged like a chessboard create a scene reminiscent of the utopian paradise described by Tao Yuanming.
