Sun Moon Lake Houjian Mountain Trail Introduction
Houjian Mountain is one of the Four Beauties of Sun Moon Lake, with an elevation of 1,008 meters. The entrance is at an elevation of 663 meters, at the Nantou Bus Tohsa Terminal. The trail rises approximately 345 meters horizontally, covering a total distance of about 6.5 kilometers, making it a physically demanding hiking route. There are three hiking routes to Houjian Mountain, one of which starts from Tohsa Village in Yuchi Township, Nantou County, at the Nantou Bus Tohsa Terminal located at an elevation of 663 meters. The route follows County Road 62 and features a rest pavilion and picnic tables at the mountain peak, where hikers can enjoy a beautiful view of Sun Moon Lake.
