Grandma's Laundry Place Introduction
Located in the southeastern part of Toushe Village, Mianziyuan Settlement got its name from the cotton that was formerly cultivated here. The Toushe Basin is the upper watershed of the Water Li Creek, resulting in abundant water sources and numerous mountain springs. In the past, due to the lack of running water facilities, residents used these water sources not only for drinking but also for washing clothes. The creek was lined with long stone slabs used as washboards, where community residents gathered to wash clothes and chat, creating a unique way of socializing. Nowadays, the washing area has a roof and pavilions for visitors to rest. When riding a bicycle along the Toushe Cycling Path, it's worth stopping here to take a break.
