Grandma's Laundry Place Introduction
Located to the southeast of Toushe Village is the Mianzi Garden settlement. "Mianzi Garden" is named after the fact that cotton was once cultivated here. The Toushe Basin serves as the upper watershed for the Shuili River, resulting in abundant water sources with springs and streams throughout. In the past, due to the lack of plumbing, residents used this water not only for drinking but also for laundry. The stream was lined with long slabs of stone serving as washboards, where community members gathered to wash clothes and chat, creating an alternative social interaction. Today, the laundry area has been equipped with a roof and pavilions for visitors to rest. When riding a bicycle along the Toushe Bike Path, it's a good idea to stop and take a break here.
