Dengying Academy Introduction

Dengying Academy was established in the 28th year of the Daoguang Emperor's reign (1848 AD) and is also known as the Wenchang Temple. It is located in Xinzhuang Li, Caotun Township (formerly known as the Xinzhuang of Beitou Fort). The academy is dedicated to Wenchang Dijun, the deity of literature and examinations. In 1985, it was designated as a county-level historical site. Surrounded by lush green rice fields, the atmosphere is solemn, making it an important place for many students to pray for academic success.
