Tiao Shui Old Trail Introduction
The Water Carrying Ancient Trail is one of the six ancient trails of water carriers in Bagua Mountain and dates back to the Qing Dynasty. Currently, it consists of stone steps, brick paths, cement roads, and earthen paths, having been planned and organized into a walkway. The trail begins at No. 159, Yuanqiao Road (County Road 148), and features a Japanese-style torii gate and a parking lot. Along the way, there are numerous resting spots. In April, visitors can enjoy the scenery of tung blossoms as well as butterflies fluttering around. Midway along the trail, there are two natural springs known as Longfeng Spring, which is the best place to view the tung flowers. The trail is generally flat and easy to walk, though some sections are steeper, requiring caution. It is a suitable route for families to enjoy viewing tung flowers and butterflies. ▌Trail Length: 2.01 kilometers. ▌Walking Time: 1.5 hours ▌Facilities: Entrance imagery, parking lot (motorcycles and small cars), restrooms, pavilions, plazas, seating, signposts, and informational guides.
The ancient water-drawing path evokes a sense of nostalgia.
