Ancient Water Carrying Trail Introduction
The Tiao Water Ancient Trail is one of the six ancient trails for water bearers in Bagua Mountain. Established during the Qing Dynasty, it currently consists of stone steps, brick paths, concrete roads, and earthen paths, making it a well-planned and arranged trail. The trail can be accessed from No. 159, Yuanzao Road (County Route 148) and features a Japanese-style torii and a parking lot. Along the way, there are many resting spots for visitors. In April, visitors can enjoy the sight of tung flowers and butterflies. Halfway up the ancient trail, there are two natural springs known as Longfeng Spring, which is the best spot for admiring the tung flowers. The trail is generally flat and easy to walk, with only some steep sections, so caution is advised.
